How do you fade out the volume of a sound?

What will be an ideal response?

You can change the volume levels in the Edit Envelope dialog box. Select the
first keyframe that contains your sound and in the Properties panel, click the
Pencil button. The Edit Envelope dialog box appears. Click on the top horizontal
line of the waveform to add keyframes. Drag the keyframes down to the bottom
of the window to reduce the volume at that point in time. You can also select
the Fade out option from the Effect menu in the Properties panel to apply a
global fade from start to finish.
