Describe a Class A network.

What will be an ideal response?

Class A networks can be identified by their subnet mask, which is 255.0.0.0. The first bit of a Class A network is always 0. There can be only 127 Class A networks on the entire Internet, which allows 16,777,214 hosts per network. A typical company needs no more than 16 million unique IP addresses; therefore, Class A networks are assigned to ISPs or very large companies.
