How does children's play change around 2 to 6 years old and reflect the ability to work, play, and love?

What will be an ideal response?

Around 2 to 6 years of age, love, work, and play begin to separate slightly, as children spend much of their time experimenting with ways of creating symbolic play representations. Although play appears to be the dominating activity for this period of development, children actually learn through play activities how to adapt to the demands of their environment (work) by using make-believe activities (play) to create enjoyable joint enactments with friends (love).
