Compare and contrast the practices of "palming off" and "product disparagement."

Both are unfair methods of competition which interfere with property rights. Palming off happens when a company sells a reproduction of a product, leading buyers to believe it is the original product. Product disparagement happens when an untrue statement is made about a business product or service, for the purpose of discouraging sales of that product.
