What is focused ultrasound surgery?

What will be an ideal response?

Focused ultrasound surgery does not involve cutting; rather, it uses sound waves. Studies involve the use of ultrasound to stop massive bleeding and to treat cancer. By focusing a high-powered ultrasonic beam, roughly 10,000 times the power used for prenatal pictures, they can raise the temperature of cancerous tissue at the focal point to nearly boiling. Within seconds, the cancerous tissue dies.
