Describe how to purge a gauge manifold set using only the high side service valve

After connecting the gauges, crack only the high side service valve. Open BOTH manifold valves at the same time and loosen the hose connection at the low-side service valve. This will purge everything but the middle hose. It can then be purged separately by loosening the middle hose at the plug connection.
