Identify three factors that influence life expectancy in a given country. Why does life expectancy vary by gender?

What will be an ideal response?

Ans: Varies. Life expectancy: the average number of years a newborn is expected to live based on existing health conditions in the country. Life expectancy at birth is consistently higher for females than for males. Some of this gap is attributable to the fact that males are more likely than females to die in early childhood, more likely to die from accidents or violence in young adulthood, and more likely to experience early death from poor health in middle to later life.
