What is the difference in scheduling for primary school and scheduling for before and after-school care programs?

What will be an ideal response?

In primary school, children should be provided opportunities for choice, for structured learning, and for being read to, even in second grade. They should have opportunities for outdoor play and exploration throughout the school day. In contrast, scheduling for before- and after-school programs needs to take the children’s unique characteristics, experiences, and abilities into consideration. After-school programs should be less focused on academics and more like a neighborhood.
