Describe the steps involved in imitation learning.

What will be an ideal response?

Ans: Neurons called mirror neurons support imitation learning. Each time an individual sees an action done by another, the neurons that would be involved in that action are activated. This in turn creates a motor representation of the observed action. That is, we see an action and consider how we might make it ourselves, although we don’t do this consciously. In essence, the observer’s brain turns a visual image into a motor plan.
