The goal of Just-In-Time manufacturing is to optimize the use of materials, labor and other resources. Rather than having excess materials, labor, and resources going unused for a long time, JIT utilizes each as necessary. For example, we would not store excess materials but instead have only the material on hand that we need at that time, along with the human capitol required.
