One measure of success is that students achieve at a high level and complete requirements for graduation. Another valid measure of success for a school is that it achieves results that surpass those expected from comparable schools in comparable settings. The achievement of students goes beyond what one would expect. Finally, successful schools are those that are improving, rather than getting worse.
