Briefly discuss why analyzing culture-as-root metaphor is so challenging

What will be an ideal response?

When we say that something is a root metaphor, we mean that it is more than
just a way of using one concept to help us understand another. Instead, we mean that it is
the essence of that concept, that the two constructs are essentially inseparable. In other
words, the essence of an organization is culture from this perspective (see Smith and
Eisenberg [1987] for an extended discussion). One cannot consider the organization
without considering culture, for the organization is a culture. The root metaphor
perspective is comprised of many elements.
