Interestingly, it was the false advertising about which the Court seemed to be more
concerned. This was due to the fact that the statute in question actually authorized
nonlawyers practicing law, as long as they did not get paid for it and received court
permission before engaging in it. So, the only reason that Robinson was cited for engaging in
the unauthorized practice of law was not for what he did, but because he did not always get
permission before doing it.
