What is biodiversity and why is it used to measure the health of a natural environment?

What will be an ideal response?

Answer: Biodiversity is the number of species present. High biodiversity means lots of species are present. Various biodiversities are naturally present by climate type. When biodiversity begins to decline in an area, it means that one of the environmental factors has changed, to the detriment of the species involved.
