What is Kohler’s model of discrimination learning?
What will be an ideal response?
Kohler’s theory of discrimination learning proposes that organisms learn a “relation” among items when they learn to discriminate. That is, they do not evaluate items in absolute terms but in relation to other stimuli. In other words, they learn a “rule” such as “choose larger” or “choose brighter.” He called this effect transposition.
