How do you think the kill command got its name?
What will be an ideal response?
The kill command is somewhat misleadingly named since what it really does is send a signal to a
process. Any signal can be specified but by default, the signal that is sent is a SIGTERM signal
which will cause the process to terminate. It was probably named kill because killing a process is
the most common use of the command, so in many cases the name makes perfect sense.
