Why are seed producers the dominant plant today?

What will be an ideal response?

Answers may vary. Land plants are the dominant plant, and seed production allowed plants to further adapt to a terrestrial environment. Seeds have a coat and store food that allow them to survive harsh conditions during long periods of dormancy. When the environment is favorable for growth, seeds germinate, using the stored food as a nutrient source. Seed plants often have symbiotic relationships with pollinators that increase their chances of pollination as well as seed dispersal. Because of the survival value of seeds, seed plants are the dominant plants today.
