The Russian “Mafiya” is considered to be the biggest organized crime threat in the world today. The widespread chaos and corruption following the breakup of the USSR allowed Russian OC to come out of the closet and proliferate. The special danger of Russian OC is that many of its members are highly intelligent and educated men who held professional jobs in the old Soviet Union.
