Name four aspects of yourself that you consider part of your self-image. Why are these considered part of your self-image rather than your self-esteem?
What will be an ideal response?
Self-image is one’s mental picture of himself or herself and is made up of various roles we see ourselves occupying. Students may list things such as being a student, a daughter or son, an athlete, a musician, a citizen of the United States, or a musician (answers will vary). These roles are considered part of the self-image because they describe our mental picture of our self, but they do not carry any value judgements about those roles.
