Provide an explanation of any support found for your response to question 30 (hint:
discuss evidence provided by gamma and Somer's d).
What will be an ideal response
Both gamma and Somer's d provide evidence of a positive relationship between
class status and education level. Gamma reveals there is a moderate, almost strong,
relationship between the independent and dependent variable. With gamma we can
predict values on the dependent variable (education) with 58% greater accuracy by
knowing values of the independent variable (class status). Somer's d, despite being lower
due to accounting for tied dependent pairs, also lends support to the claims made in
question 30.
