Discuss the importance of progress-monitoring tests, and identify a measure ideally used for monitoring progress.
What will be an ideal response?
Ans: Schools today place emphasis on monitoring students’ progress. This is due jointly to the annual yearly performance requirements of No Child Left Behind legislation and to the progress-monitoring requirements of RTI. Curriculum-based measures (CBMs) are ideally suited for monitoring progress because they are closely aligned with what is being taught in the classroom.
