Although many scientists have contributed to our understanding of why the wind blows, who stands out as making particularly significant contributions? When did this scientist live? Describe the two most important laws of motion proposed by this scientist
Isaac Newton stands out as having made significant contributions to our understanding of why wind blows. He lived from 1642-1727. Two of the most important fundamental laws of motion he proposed were Newton's first and second laws of motion. Newton's first law of motion states that an object at rest will remain at rest and an object in motion will remain in motion (and travel at a constant velocity along a straight line) as long as no force is exerted on the object. Newton's second law of motion states that the force exerted on an object equals its mass times the acceleration produced.
