Explain the 2015 ruling in the case of Glossip v. Gross.

In the Glossip ruling the Supreme Court added that when considering the method of execution the chosen method of execution is to be considered constitutional unless the convicted can show that a substantial risk of harm was increased through a given method when compared with another known and available alternative method. In other words, implementation of the death penalty, does not include, as a goal, the infliction of unnecessary pain.
