Define "digital divide" and describe its impact on teaching and learning
What will be an ideal response?
The digital divide is the disconnection between those with access to technology and those without. The digital divide disproportionately impacts those living in low-income homes. Students with limited access to technology at home come to school with less background knowledge of technology. Students with a better and deeper understanding of technology will be able to take advantage of it and can concentrate on using it to build new knowledge.
