Explain several ways that gravity affects posture and movement
What will be an ideal response?
The line of gravity travels through the center of gravity in a person's body. If the center of gravity in each body mass—head, thorax, and pelvis—aligns over the base of support, a person's posture will be more stable. Downward movements in the direction of the pull of gravity accelerate muscular contractions and require less effort than upward movements performed against the pull of gravity.
