Answer: Intellectual property are the creations of human brain . They are considered as their property and they have solo rights on it and the government ensures these rights are provided to the owners. There are different types of properties and the main important are patents, copyrights, trademark etc., They are very important to protect the ideas of a business as if they are not protected, they might be copied easily by others,. Hence they protect the ideas which are a kind of property of the owner . Some properties which are invented or discovered by the owners requires these rights to protect them. Hence the main purpose of protecting an intellectual property is to ensure that the ideas or items are not copied and remained with the owners.
