Which social norms and mores concerning sexuality were imposed in ancient Rome?

What will be an ideal response?

In order to increase the population of Rome, the ancient Romans introduced rules that gave priority to married life and reproduction inside marriage. The sanctity of marriage was important; men were not allowed to have more than one woman, and having concubines was frowned upon. Infidelity by women was strongly condemned, and among upper-class women, it was even considered a criminal offense. Some other sexual behaviors, such as effeminate behavior in men and public immodesty, were also defined as sexual misconduct. Prostitution was allowed, but besides satisfying sexual desires, it didn’t hold any other value, and prostitutes were socially stigmatized. Male homosexuality was allowed but according to strict regulations; penetrating someone anally or receiving oral sex was considered masculine enough, but being penetrated was condemned.
