What are dialectics? Provide an example
What will be an ideal response?
Dialectics are tensions people experience when they have two seemingly contradictory but connected needs. The three primary relational dialectics are autonomy/connection, expressiveness/privacy, and change/predictability. An example of autonomy/connection tension is when one person is interested in having a casual dating relationship with more autonomy and the other would like exclusivity and more commitment in the relationship.
