Answers will vary but should include a definition of ethnocentrism--the belief that the norms, values, and customs of one's own group are superior to those of other groups. Students may provide any example of a time they have participated in or witness ethnocentrism. This may include failing to view institutional racism as a systemic problem if a student is analyzing the issue under a white lens.
