Explain the differences between an interview and an interrogation

What will be an ideal response?

An interview is a person-to-person conversation for the purpose of obtaining information about a crime. Interviews are conducted in private, but don't need to be conducted in custody environment, and they are less structured. An interrogation is the adversarial questioning of a suspect with the goal of soliciting an admission or confession of guilt. Interrogations can be conducted only in an in-custody environment, are highly structured, and Miranda rights should be advised.
