Describe two key ways that teachers can work with families to extend children's historical understanding

What will be an ideal response?

Families may purposely use words and phrases such as before, next, when Grandpa was a little boy…, when we go to the beach next month, that connect experiences with words representing time. Families can also share experiences from when they were the child's age to help with historical understanding realizing that adults were once children and they will grow to be adults.
