Psychologists take responsibility and credit, including authorship credit, only for work they have actually performed or to which they have substantially contributed. Substantial intellectual contributions include formulating the hypothesis, developing the experimental design, selecting the analytic procures, interpreting the data, writing the first draft of the article, or providing important intellectual revisions to the manuscript content.
