Provide some of the adaptations that allowed animals to adapt to life on dry land. What will be an ideal response?

ANSWER: On dry land, water conservation is an ever-present concern. Having dry skin and modifying
respirations are good strategies to prevent water loss. But, the key is to be able to filter toxins
from the fluids of the body without losing the fluids themselves. To this end, land animals
have evolved very efficient kidneys to filter metabolic waster and retain water.
