List and describe the three stages of a crisis episode.
What will be an ideal response?
First, one's level of tension rises considerably. Then we try and fail to cope with the stress, which further increases the tension and contributes to a sense of feeling overwhelmed. Finally, the crisis episode ends, either negatively (unhealthy coping) or positively (successful management of the crisis).
