On the EKG, the end of ventricular repolarization is the

a. upslope of the P wave. c. QRS complex.
b. negative Q wave. d. downslope of the T wave.

D
On the EKG, the waves (P, Q, R, S, T) are electrical voltages produced by the heart and recorded by leads placed on the body. When the atria depolarize, the P wave is produced. During this period, the pressure in the atria exceeds that in the ventricles, thus forcing blood from the atria into the ventricles. After the appearance of the P wave, the QRS complex on the EKG occurs as the ventricles are electrically depolarized. As the ventricles begin to repolarize, the T wave appears on the EKG. The downslope of the T wave indicates the end of ventricular repolarization and the beginning of a relaxation period.
