Why is it critically important to develop and implement sustainable management approaches for Grand Banks fisheries?
What will be an ideal response?
The Atlantic Periphery is still very much dependent economically on its marine resources, and the region is a prime habitat for many regions of fish. However, decades of overfishing have put many commercially important species on the edge of becoming extinct. If there is to be sustainable fishing of these species in the future, they must be allowed to recover.
