Explain what is the job and responsibility of the banquet manager when helping a client plan an event.
What will be an ideal response?
The banquet manager should schedule a meeting with the client concerning the event. The banquet manager must listen to the client then suggest and guide the client to make correct choices about the function. Included in the discussion will be the physical setup of the room, planning the program and the time schedule, and selecting the food and beverage menu.
As a banquet manager, you must help with the details of the event that the client has not thought about. You must plan the event so that it will be precisely what the client desires within the limits of your operation. All attention must be given to the client at hand, not thinking about next week's events.
