Discuss the difference between a hazardous material and a hazardous waste.
What will be an ideal response?
Once a material has been used for its intended purpose and it no longer has any usable function, it is considered a hazardous waste. An example of this is a solvent that has been used two or three times to clean a paint gun, and is no longer considered usable. It then becomes a hazardous waste that is usually poured into a common collection barrel with other waste paints that are commonly identified as hazardous waste.
