Explain the importance of the integrated domestic violence court model

What will be an ideal response?

Answer: The integrated domestic violence court is considered an innovative model to address intimate partner violence. Under this model, one judge handles criminal domestic violence cases and any related family issues including custody, visitation, civil protection orders, and matrimonial issues. This approach is taken when the court seeks to handle all related cases pertaining to a single family where the underlying issue is intimate partner violence. Two places that have this court include Dade County, Florida and Baltimore, Maryland. The goals of this approach are to streamline and centralize the court process by laminating contradictory orders and to improve victim safety.
