Women affected by violence decorate a shirt and then hang it on a clothesline to spread community awareness of violence against women and generate support for those affected by family violence and other traumatic experiences. The colors of the shirts represent different forms of violence, from sexual abuse to political attack. The Clothesline Project began in Cape Cod, Massachusetts.
