Why does glucose appear in the urine of some diabetics?

What will be an ideal response?

Answer: The nephron has a maximal capacity for glucose reabsorption, set by the number of glucose transporters. Sometimes diabetics have very high levels of glucose in their blood. If the concentration of glucose filtered into the kidney is too high, the nephron cannot reabsorb all of it and some appears in the urine.
