Ans: We can only find evidence to support a research hypothesis; we can’t prove it to be true because we can’t possibly test every research hypothesis that would yield a significant outcome. We can only test the hypothesis that a difference or effect does not exist and hope to reject it, thereby finding indirect evidence for our research hypothesis.
