Describe rough, blanked, and dressed lumber.

What will be an ideal response?

Rough lumber has not been dressed and shows saw marks on all four surfaces. Blanked lumber is dressed to a size larger than standard dressed sizes but smaller than the nominal size. It may be surfaced on one surface (S1S), one edge (S1E), or surfaced on all four sides (S4S). Dressed lumber has one or more surfaces smoothed in any combination of surfaces and edges, such as S1E, S2E, S1S1E, S1S2E, S4S, and so on. For example, S1E means surface one edge, S4S means surface four sides, and S1S1E means surface one side and one edge.
