Discuss two reasons why a clutch might fail?

What will be an ideal response?

There are several reasons why a clutch might fail. One reason is an excessive air gap. Check the gap to be sure it is not too wide. Some clutch assemblies use shims to adjust the air gap.

Another possible cause of clutch failure is excessive refrigerant pressure, which will cause the clutch to work too hard. This can result from a high-side restriction or too much refrigerant.
