Explain how the stigma of conviction can actually cause individuals to return to a life of crime
What will be an ideal response?
Individuals may return to criminal pursuits because of the challenges they face in attempting to return to the community after being labeled as convicts. The stigma of conviction can make it difficult, if not impossible, to make a successful return to society. An individual might decide it is simply easier to return to a life of crime.
