Explain the techniques used in the cloning of "Dolly."

Mammary cells were removed from an udder of a sheep. An egg was obtained from another ewe and its nucleus was removed. The two cells were combined with an electrical shock. After six days the embryo was transplanted into a surrogate mother sheep. Five months later, Dolly was born.
