Briefly explain what conflict of interest in research means and whether it is allowed by the Code of Ethics.

Ans: Conflict of interest refers to how the needs of the social worker may be in conflict with the wishes of a client. For example, the social worker may need for the client to participate in a research study but the client may not want to participate. The Code of Ethics requires that the social worker avoid conflicts of interest.
