Why is influence of the Internet on sexuality so strong and pervasive?

What will be an ideal response?

The Internet is available throughout the world and connects people from different countries and
continents, making communication and sharing of experiences quite easy. There is a saying that “the
Internet is for porn,” which may be an exaggeration, but data demonstrate that the Internet is, above
all, used for different sexual purposes. It influences perceptions and thinking about sexuality, as people
are being exposed to a great variety of sexual expressions, information, and interests. The anonymity of
the Internet makes it a suitable place for those with unusual sex desires, and while those people can feel
more accepted and less alone, others begin to understand that the frequency of these behaviors is
larger than they thought, and therefore, many behaviors and preferences become “normal.” Many
sexual norms are changed, and sexuality is liberated. But the Internet also introduces new sexual
practices. It can be used for dangerous and damaging behaviors, such as hate speech, sexual predators,
sexual addiction, and more.
