Define the concept of comparable worth.  What do critics say about comparable worth?

What will be an ideal response?

Comparable worth is the concept that seeks equal compensation for jobs that require about the same level of education, training, and skill. Critics believe that the market should determine wages and the worth of jobs in an organization and that laws that move us toward comparable worth should not tamper with the market forces of wages. Critics also argue that inflating salaries artificially for female-dominated occupations encourages women to keep those jobs rather than seek higher paying jobs.
