When might it be ill-advised to try perspective taking? Give the rationale for your answer.

What will be an ideal response?

Varies. General perspective taking is ill-advised when a disputant reacts to it with
sarcasm or criticism of the other party (i.e., not ready for the technique yet). Controlled
dialogue is ill-advised if the disputant is unwilling to see the other’s perspective. Role
reversal is ill-advised if one party presents the other in unfair or unrealistic ways.
